R&S is using GMIT DVB-T2 MI Software Gateway technology for enabling DVB-T2 Gateway functionality in its Broadcast Test System R&S®SFU.
The DVB-T2 MI Gateway, which is part of the R&S®BCMux Broadcast Multiplexer, was chosen because of it's unique most complete featureset and the flexibility of the software architecture which made integration easy and straightforward. We are proud to present our DVB-T2 MI Gateway supporting all needed features for DVB-T2 like SFN, Multi PLP and MISO. Placed in a 1RU compact appliance, the T2MIA-110 is the first connection point between your video headend and the DVB T2 modulator.

The GMIT T2MIA-110 is optimized for media delivery over NGN/IP networks. Equipped with up to eight Gigabit Ethernet Ports, a direct interconnection with multiplexer and modulator could be established, making an additional network switch obsolete. To remain compatibility with existing infrastructure, each T2MIA-110 can hold up to 4 optional ASI ports (input or output).

Rohde & Schwarz and GMIT, both specialists for mobile TV, will strengthen their collaboration in the future.
